The West Main Artists Cooperative is a non-profit organization that provides affordable workspace for local artists, and offers a place where artists can learn from a group of like-minded individuals. Discovery by the art world is important to any artist. We grant exhibition space for our artists, allowing exposure to the local community. This exposure will lead to the growth of the art community in Spartanburg and help revitalize the city. Having a place where people can create art and be a part of the community is the ultimate goal.
Stay up-to-date on upcoming events, promotions, and exhibitions. We won't share your information and will send you friendly emails every now and then to keep you posted on new art and co-op news.
Locally made art is for sale in the Gallery Shop and the galleries. The Co-op art galleries are open to the public.
Tues - Fri 10am - 6pm
Sat. 10am - 4pm
Many of our artists offer classes to the public. Join one of our community classes and become one who does more than just appreciate art. You can make it! Our artists currently offer classes in ceramics, letterpress, drawing, music, and jewelry making.
Our artists participate in Spartanburg's Art Walk event, held every third Thursday of each month. Art Walk provides an opportunity for the community to explore the artistry and craftsmanship of local artists, right here in Spartanburg. Join us each third Thursday from 5:00PM - 9:00PM.
Co-op artists submit their work for consideration to be showcased in one of our in-house exhibition galleries, which are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday. This provides an opportunity for artists to publicly showcase complete collections of their work.
