as a team with my wife Robin, we make eco-friendly letterpress
greeting cards, stationery, event invitations, business cards, and
just about anything you can dream for everyday, functional prints.
I'm a teacher by training, technology guru by sheer gifting, graphic
designer by determination, tinkerer through boredom, and letterpress
printer by choice. My passion is to help others express themselves
and connect with others through functional prints. I make
handcrafted art you can mail, display, and hand out to others. Using
state of the art equipment, circa 1906, I enjoy the visual and
kinesthetic experience involved in working with vintage letterpress
equipment and modern design aesthetics to create contemporary art for
personal and business ventures. Robin combines hand-drawn and
hand-lettered illustrations with bright colors to create designs that
draw you in to offer words of encouragement, love and friendship in
your handwritten notes.
and Robin met in English class during their freshmen year of college
at then Troy State University in Troy, Alabama. After dating for
four years, planning a wedding, breaking up and calling the whole
thing off, they were married in 1998 and have spent their lives
together enjoying the freedom that comes from not having children and
following the leading of the Holy Spirit in their lives. They
currently live in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
After taking a letterpress
class with the late Mr. William “Bill” Wheatley, they decided to
embark on a journey to rediscover their inner artists that had been
hidden inside for both of them since high school. Brannon joined the
West Main Artists Co-op in the Winter of 2013 and later in the Fall
of 2014 he decided to take his art from hobby to business and
together, they officially opened R&B Printery, specializing in
eco-friendly letterpress paper goods.
